Body Politic Dance – Terms & Conditions (Classes)

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for classes, courses, and workshops delivered by Body Politic Dance, a not-for-profit hip hop dance organisation based in Oxford delivering inclusive training for young people aged 5–25.


1. Booking & Agreement

By booking a place, you agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of your child.

A place is only confirmed once payment has been received.

2. Classes & Participation

  • Classes are designed to be inclusive, supportive, and empowering for all young people.
  • No previous experience is required.
  • Students are expected to treat others with respect and contribute to a positive environment.

We reserve the right to refuse participation where behaviour is unsafe or disruptive.


3. Fees & Payment

  • All fees must be paid in advance of the term or course unless agreed otherwise.
  • Failure to pay may result in the loss of your child’s place.
  • Fees are reviewed periodically to support the sustainability of our charitable work.

4. Sibling Discount

  • A 20% discount is available for siblings attending classes at the same time.
  • The discount applies to the lower-priced booking(s).
  • This offer cannot be combined with other discounts unless agreed in writing.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

  • You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking to cancel for a full refund (unless classes have already started).
  • After this period, fees are non-refundable.
  • No refunds are given for missed sessions due to illness, holidays, or other personal circumstances.
  • If we cancel a session, we will offer a replacement class, credit, or refund where appropriate.

6. Attendance

  • Regular attendance is encouraged to support your child’s progress and confidence.
  • If your child is unable to attend, please inform us where possible.

7. Health, Safety & Wellbeing

  • You must inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, or additional needs.
  • By attending, you confirm your child is fit to participate in physical activity.
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn for all classes.

We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.


8. Drop-off & Collection

  • Parents/carers are responsible for ensuring children are dropped off and collected on time.
  • Supervision is only provided during scheduled class times.

9. Photography & Media

  • We may take photos/videos during sessions for marketing and promotional purposes.
  • Please notify us in writing if you do not give consent.

10. Personal Property

  • Students bring belongings at their own risk.
  • We cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged items.

11. Changes to Classes

  • We may occasionally need to change teachers, venues, or timetables.
  • We will give as much notice as possible.

12. Liability

  • Participation in dance classes involves physical activity and is undertaken at your own risk.

13. Data Protection

  • Your personal data will be used only to administer classes and communicate with you.
  • We handle all data in line with UK data protection legislation.

14. General

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • We may update these terms periodically; the latest version will always apply.
